Kenwood's St Patrick's Episcopal Church, a long time supporter of F.I.S.H., hosted our retiring executive director Jeanne-Marie Jones and members of the F.I.S.H. board at their 10:30 worship service on April 23. Jeanne-Marie was honored with gifts and stories by The Reverend Jennifer Hornbeck and other congregants who volunteer at F.I.S.H. The congregation filled our van with 845 lbs. of much appreciated non-perishable food to give to all in need.
Saturday, May 13, is the annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive. This is our single largest food donation of the year. F.I.S.H. directly receives the food donated in Santa Rosa's 95401, 03 and 07 zip codes. But, no matter where you live, all of the food goes to local non-profit agencies dedicated to fighting hunger. Please give generously; see our Donate page for the most needed food items.
Thank you U.S. Postal letter carriers!
After the last of the donations arrived from the McBride Postal Annex, the total amount of food received exceeded 14,000 lbs. This is a significant weapon for us in the battle against hunger in our community.
